I was only being facetious :-). Up until very recently, the first thing I used to do after upgrading to a new release of Linux was to customize my kernel. And Linux kernels are a piece of cake compared to some commercial Unix kernels.
Of course, but the other Unix kernels are good earners if you are being paid by the hour. I've seen customers very upset when they discover they couldn't move their Solaris boot disks from one SPARC platform to the other, requiring a fresh install. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ....
