2.6.9 or 2.6.10 kernels
I was looking around SuSE for either a 2.6.9 or 2.6.10 kernel either the RPM
for the binary or the sources. (I could also pull them from kernel.org).

Only if you are careless or stupid, I never get into a position where I can't easily switch back to a good working kernel by simply rebooting. Of course, my kernels are not all called vmlinuz. Of course, my kernels are not all called vmlinuz. I was only being facetious :-). Up until very recently, the first thing I used to do after upgrading to a new release of Linux was to customize my kernel. Of course, but the other Unix kernels are good earners if you are being paid by the hour. I've seen customers very upset when they discover they couldn't move their Solaris boot disks from one SPARC platform to the other, requiring a fresh install. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ....
