Try creating a new user, login, and then create or open that sheet. If black, change the user locale in the desktop or CLI, login again, try again the sheet.
Also, run the command "locale" and post the result here, so that we can also try.
- strike me pink : as Carlos suggested : created new user & flamed up LO
and . . . created new spreadsheet : Negative numbers show up Red !! : brilliant - thank you.
:-) Just a hunch.
- can you imagine some method to persuade LO Red Negatives for my original user?
The brute force attack is to delete the entire libreoffice config directory, which I don't know this instant which it is. Not .ooo, not .libreoffice... perhaps .config/libreoffice/4-suse, then start fresh configuring it. Before that, I would have a go on the setup/language section and reset it. Pure English for starters. This is the cure for many LO problems, delete the entire LO config. There is no utility to check and verify it. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
