Try creating a new user, login, and then create or open that sheet. If black, change the user locale in the desktop or CLI, login again, try again the sheet. Also, run the command "locale" and post the result here, so that we can also try. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" (Minas Tirith))

The brute force attack is to delete the entire libreoffice config directory, which I don't know this instant which it is. Not .ooo, not .libreoffice... perhaps .config/libreoffice/4-suse, then start fresh configuring it. Before that, I would have a go on the setup/language section and reset it. Pure English for starters. This is the cure for many LO problems, delete the entire LO config. There is no utility to check and verify it. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. There was no need to be root. Simply exit LO, remove or rename ~/.config/libreoffice, then enter LO again. Or copy the config of the test user you created before that worked.
Result : All Perfect

Ah, that's interesting. Yet the new user worked right, negs in red? I'm about convinced that it is related to the locale defined in your desktop. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" (Minas Tirith))

yes, perhaps locale=<choice> oocalc <spreadsheet> locale=en_US.UTF-8 oocalc <spreadsheet> locale=en_US.UTF8@euro oocalc <spreadsheet> your post/exampe err:
locale en_US.UTF8@euro locale: unknown name "en_US.UTF8@euro" even google fails to find it.
locale -a |grep euro br_FR@euro ca_ES@euro de_AT@euro de_BE@euro de_DE@euro de_LU@euro en_BE@euro en_IE@euro es_ES@euro eu_ES@euro fi_FI@euro fr_BE@euro fr_FR@euro fr_LU@euro ga_IE@euro gl_ES@euro it_IT@euro nl_BE@euro nl_NL@euro
maybe that be the problem pt_PT@euro sv_FI@euro wa_BE@euro and I may be all wet:
locale en_US.UFT-8 locale: unknown name "en_US.UTF-8" but google does not fail here
but that is what yast assigned my system(s). and my systems do not complain about it. but I am neither a lawyer or expert in the matter. https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/libstdc++/manual/localization.html -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

YaST does it, if it does, for the entire system. For a user, you edit/create ~/.i18n cer@minas-tirith:~> cat .i18n LC_TIME="en_DK.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="es_ES@euro" LC_TELEPHONE="es_ES@euro" LC_MEASUREMENT="es_ES@euro" cer@minas-tirith:~> But also some desktops have a language/locale setting. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
