Hi all..
I found a great little Gnome applet. It the one that shows the CPU usage as a fire. The higher the fire the more the CPU used.
Is there anyway for me to use that applet in KDE? BTW I'm useing 7.2.
TIA
Hi Jim,
Normally gnome stuff can be run in KDE too, it will of course require several gnome libs and gtk and such kind of stuff. E.g. Evolution requires half of the ximian gnome desktop to be installed, but after installing that it will run (normally). If it is an rpm, YaST ought to tell you about the dependencies.

The deal is I have both KDE and gnome installed. I must be missing a link or something. When I try to start it nothing happens.
TIA!

A partial solution may be in the method you try and start the applet with. Try starting the gnome applet from the KDE terminal. Usually this will show an error message or two. From the error message you may be able to find a way to solve the problem. -- Ralph Sanford - If your government does not trust you, rsanford@telusplanet.net - should you trust your government?
