I believe Compaqs are the worst computer ever made. Their engineers must be
highschool level graduates because some of the hardware designs and
component selections are the most awkward and useless I've ever seen. Ever
try to do repairs on a Compaq, they are ridiculous to work on.

Subject: [SLE] Compac Pressario
<p>Today, I tried to install SuSE 7.0 on a PC belonging to a friend of mine. It
was aCompac Pressario with a 233 MHz processor. All hardware modules were
the
original cards mounted by Compac.
Setup failed to install the PS2 mouse correctly, the internal modem couldn't
be detected (tried Yast2 yast1 and KPPP). The sound chip was unknown.
I don't want to make a big case out of it, but of course if anyone has
usefull experiences with the mentioned kind of PC, advices are welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Niels
