I haven't used the automounter in quite some time but used to be a rather heavy user. IIRC, what you want is a "direct" mount.
See auto.master(5): "direct maps". There are some direct map examples in autofs(5).
Indirect maps take over an entire mount point, whereas direct maps allow placing individual mount points (as absolute paths).
