Over the w/e I converted my 12.2 desktop to 12.3 by the 'change the repository and zypper up' method. A few problems with kde4 that I don't think have to do with me - more n that later. As regular readers will recall, this desktop is running one big btrfs that occupies the whole disk. No separate /boot or anything. This was a 'show it can be done' exercise and on the whole is doing well. Going over the boot messages in more detail to make sure all is well, post conversion, I notice a few errors reported from the btrfs startup. They don't seem to affect function, but it makes me wonder... I can't run btrfsck (yes I know its depreciated) or the equivalent on a mounted file system after boot. I do know that the other systems I have run the other FS fsck at boot. How can I get 12.3 to run btrfsck at boot? -- How long did the whining go on when KDE2 went on KDE3?
