Almost any Palm OS PDA is supported under Linux. Some add-on apps
have Windows desktop software, which won't work. Backing up and
syncing the basic apps works fine. It is easier to enter your address
book on the desktop. The Palms have a little classier finish and
upgradeable OS. THe Visor have an expansion slot. Palms come with a
serial cradle, Visors with a USB cradle. Which do you have available?

I am looking to get a PDA this weekend. I am looking in the $199 range in my small home town. I wondered how the Handspring and Palm work on linux? Which is recomended? I'm on a limited budget and although I would love to have a linux based PDA none are in my price range. The local Staples has the Zaurus, but wants $699 for it...lol. Thanks
