what problem are you having specifically ? I've done a few suse installs on laptops tho' not a Gateway Solo. If you're trying to set up X, start with 600x800 LCD - if this produces a small display with a wide black border try 1024x768. 60Hz is usual with LCDs. SaX should set up the chipset ok assuming it's standard - probably a Neomagic. Select 1024x768 & test the result. BTW, don't expect a full screen in text mode - the native resolution of LCDs makes the 80x25 text display appear in a small "box" in the centre of the screen. Hi all,
anyone hereabouts set on of these up with Tux by you know what distro, version 6.3? If so, lemmie/us know how you did it.
I need to contact the local Gateway people down here, as I do not have enough info on my screen... The manuals are somewhat empty. Still, honey of a machine! :-) *bliss*
