Neither in www.windowmaker.org nor in www.aftterstep.org, I was able to find the above claim (of SuSE(?)) that WindowMaker is a "designated" successor to AfterStep. On the contrary, the AfterStep folks just have released a completely new version Version 2.0 while people in www.windowmaker.org are complaining that their cvs stuff is not compiling and that the official release is so out-dated.
Woops!!! I just realized that it is AfterStepVersion 2.0beta on Sept 29, 2003. Sorry for the confusion. Hugh
What is going on?
Probably, you will see why I said AfterStep is much more artistic than any other window managers if you compare www.windowmaker.org with www.afterstep.org.
Please SuSE, stop spreading a strange claim that something is a "designated" successor. What is really going on here?
Thanks.
Hugh
