JDK package from the SuSE 5.2 distribution. I have used it and it works fine.
However, there are other programs available that are not dependent of JDK and therefore use less memory, e.g. Licq, Micq, and another one especially for KDE.
regards, Ruud. If one already uses JDK for stuff, it makes sense to use the Java port. If one doesn't there are less resource intensive versions, that make more sense to use IMHO. To me it seems silly to install JDK just to use an ICQ client, if only because of the bloat in disc space. um, that's why I recomended the nonjava alternatives, which there are quite a few, not just LICQ, and MICQ either.
