Hi All, I am sure most of you are familiar with tar -W which verifies the files after writing to tape. example of command: tar -V labeloftape -cvWf /dev/st0 /home/user1 /home/user2 I have come across the need to verify the files (entire tape or individually) at a later date. So basically I want to put in a tape and then compare it's contents to the files on the server's file system and list the differences in the output. Does anyone know how to do this? I cannot seem to find many helpful suggestions on google (but several people have asked the same question).
