Hi all, During the installation of 8.2 onto my vaio pgc-f801a, the firewire port was found and configured automatically. During the end-of-install reboot, when the firewire port was being opened by the hotplug service the laptop froze. It required a hard reset and safe boot to be able to get my laptop working, so I turned off firewire in YAST and haven't had any problems since. Is this just a vaio problem, or is there a problem with the hotplug service in 8.2? If it's fixable, how would I? (I'd rather have a nice working port) Have Fun, Jim -- James McBoyle james.mcboyle.cp.net "...the Goddess could not spend all Her time persuading the Kings and Queens of the world of the idiocy of war.
