Yes, just like it is showing up in lsusb. I have no idea why nothing is showing up with fdisk. IIRC, you are doing this under vmware- I wonder if this is a vmware problem. I have no experience with vmware- I need to do some research. Just to be sure, you do have 3 hard drives attached to your computer?

Hi Charles, Yes, the opensuse box is a box simulated using vmware.. not sure if this is a vmware issue. And yes, there are 3 hard drives connected (sda, sdb and sdc) directly to the box (not thru usb) is there some way I can use mknod or something to create the /dev/<> node for the usb device ? I was expecting to have a /dev/sdd node with which I can mount the usb device, but I couldn't see any nodes under /dev/<> which seemed like the one for the usb device. ( a couple of character device nodes exists though which seem to match the usbdevice ) -Varghese -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
