I've got a couple of setup problems: sound and network: I use pacbell's dsl service with dynamic IP address. Pacific Bell provided the ethernet card and a westell dsl device. Win2K device manager reports them as: -- Realtek RTL8139(a)-based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter -- NTS Enternet P.P.P.o.E Adapter I'm not able to get the network to run. dhcp can't get a response from pacbell.net Where is the dhcp configured. Do I have to setup tcp/ip myself? If so, where are the tcp/ip files? tcpdump output below I've found drivers for my ethernet card (http://www.scyld.com/network/rtl8139.html ), and pacbell provides source for enternet 100 ( http://dialup.pacbell.net/dsl/enternet.html ) with install instructions for dhcp. If I setup the dhcp, will the tcp/ip then work? The next problem is getting some kind of sound. My modem is a combination modem/sound card. the modem is Rockwell HCF 56K Data fax PCI modem and the sound is Riptide Audio Device. The sound device gets configured with the name of the modem, when I try to start it I get the error message 'Invalid Module Name'. Has anyone come across this device and managed to get it working?
