Hello,
I want to upgrade SuSE 10.2's installation of Gnome to Version 2.18 from 2.16.1.
What is the best way of doing this without having to go looking for a lode of dependencies and sources?
The GNOME:STABLE repository should suffice.

*not trying to hijack a thread* I am wanting to upgrade my gnome also. I have added the GNOME:STABLE repo to ZMD. I also see that there are many rpm's in that repo. Which ones do i need to install to upgrade my gnome and in what order?
just add the repo to zypper/yum/whatever you use, and do a full update.
That should work, I hope :-) If not, you might need packages from other
repos (10.3).
