It certainly would help me in identifying the problem and finding the solution for it which in return enable to have a better FAQ to use by everyone.
For me, problem posts on the list fall into two categories: 1) mine 2) other people's, that I "me too". More often than not, an original post from me never gets to [SOLVED] status. For example, I never did figure out how to print, here at the office. Well, I *did* when I installed Red Hat 7.2 on another system in our department... but I've never gotten printing to work from my own SuSE installation to our network printers (none of which are on the same subnet as my PC, so none are detected by YaST2). So, it's been almost two years (SuSE 7.3 and 8.0) that I've been sending my stuff to a Windows box, or have been re-booting into WinNT whenever I need to print. There are some other initiated-by-me requests that were never resolved, but that's the one that greets me every morning... :-) On the other hand, often I will post in an ongoing thread that was started by somebody else, and which looks similar to a problem I'm experiencing. Often, I receive an answer that solves it for ME... but it is not my place to declare the thread [SOLVED], when it was started by somebody else, who may still have his/her problem. Hope you don't get too many calluses from all your rowing.... :-) /kevin
