* Tom Nielsen (Tom@Neuro-Logic.com) [030617 16:27]: ->I ran apt-get install synaptic, but it said I already had it....I have ->.26. I tried looking using synaptic and the update wasn't listed. I ->really couldn't figure what else to do. -> ->I'll try the link below. Thanks! It's in the extra's directory but because it depends on a package of lua ..it won't let you install it because there isn't a lua package available via apt. Goofy I know. So I downloaded the following packages by hand out of the RPMS.extra directory. apt-0.5.5cnc6-rb2.i386.rpm apt-devel-0.5.5cnc6-rb2.i386.rpm apt-libs-0.5.5cnc6-rb2.i386.rpm apt-server-0.5.5cnc6-rb2.i386.rpm synaptic-0.36.1-rb1.i386.rpm And from this site "http://www.mupsych.org/~rrt/Lua" I downloaded "lua-5.0-1static.i386.rpm" by clicking on the link marked "Lua 5.0 x86 binary: RPM 526kb" After installing the above rpm's..everything works quite nicely. :) -- The IQ and the life expectancy of the average American recently passed each other going in the opposite direction. ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org
