Hi, all:
I have used suse for several days now. I am a home user, frequently watching movies and online video clips. I also have Windows XP in my PC.
One of the less intuitive things that can impact the quality of video playback is having the desktop effects enabled. If you have compositing enabled in your xorg.conf and are running compiz you are very likely to notice problems with video playback. The issue is well enough known that someone actualy built a KDE 4 plasmoid called "Toggle-Compositing" to help. Description on kde-look.org is as follows: "Toggle-Compositing is a little button that you can conveniently put anywhere in your plasma panel or desktop and it allows you to switch with ease, beetween KWin's compositing and traditional mode." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
