Since a few hours it is now possible to apt-get kde3. I've apt-get kde3 successfully at 2 systems. The only thing to be done is to add the component kde3 to the /etc/apt/sources.list, execute apt-get update and do apt-get install kdebase3 e.g
It's great to see apt-get coming to SuSE, but is anyone having problems connecting to the gwdg apt repository? Everything installs smoothly, and I've duly edited sources.list to reflect the distribution; but, on trying to connect to gwdg's apt repository, it spews out a load of 404s; "Err http://ftp.gwdg.de base/base/pkglist.update 404 Not Found" It's not exactly surprising, since the actual files are at http://ftp.gwdg.de base/pkglist.update. I'm probably doing something daft here, but I can't see anything that is obviously fouling up what apt-get considers the top-level directory, and I'm too tired to make sense of /usr/bin/genbasedir. Sorry for wasting people's space with such a trivial one, but has anyone else had this sort of problem, and, if so, how did you fix it? cheers, Gideon.
