I assume this is the reason for your issue. At least it could be the reason, but Luc probably knows better. We've seen messed up VGA registers on a number of cards already.
Yeah -- the motherboard (Tyan S2912) has on-board VGA and the card is a PCIe add-on. It's configged in the BIOS to use the PCIe as the primary display adapter.
