0x9589:0x1092:0x0632: Diamond DM-AT630PG2-512 HANGS
Hi, guys! I've got a Diamond DM-AT630PG2-512 (reported as unknown card). Hangs the screen on server shutdown or vt switchaway. This is sometimes a whole-system crash and sometimes I can ssh in after the screen is wedged. I've once seen it go back to a trashy text-mode after server shutdown -- this was the closest to "correct" behavior I've seen and it's only happened once in a week of using the board. This problem prevents, e.g. "shutdown -r now" from working at all (the machine usually ends up hung with no screen). Other than this problem, everything else seems to work reliably, as advertised. xorg.conf, Xlog.0.log and lspci -vv are attached. Cheers, -mcq

I assume this is the reason for your issue. At least it could be the
reason, but Luc probably knows better. We've seen messed up VGA
registers on a number of cards already.

Yeah -- the motherboard (Tyan S2912) has on-board VGA and the card is a PCIe add-on. It's configged in the BIOS to use the PCIe as the primary display adapter. Still, plenty of opportunity there for bootrom bugs. :) -mcq -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
