LCD-TV connected to HDMI and does not show anything, i.e. it seems not to get any signal. Yet, the software seems to think, that the display is enabled, because I can move the mouse on the second monitor (of course, i cannot see it there anymore). MS Windows can use both displays correctly and some version of fglrx worked, too. It does not make any difference whether I use pure text-mode- or a framebuffer-console. It looks a little bit like a crt that is not synchronized. Switching to X and back to console helps, even if I sometimes have to switch more than one time. Reconfiguring the screen with xrandr failed. Had to restart the X server. The bug is so far non reproducible. It's native screen resolution is 1400x1040, but at work I connect it to external monitor Belinea 2485 S1W with native resolution 1920x1200 via d-sub. when I set resolution of external monitor to 1920x1200 the monitor shows resolution 1600x1200 and the desktop has no left part. I'm forced to use 1600x1200 resolution to see all desktop. The effect was on Fedora 9 and after upgrade to Fedora 10 it still remains (but krandrtray works better). I've tried many different xorg.conf configurations (with and without dualhead) and it always stays the same. I had simmilar problems with radeon driver, described in bug #20558, after upgrade to Fedora 10. But it turned out to be kms drm problem. Radeon hd 4850, radeonhd 1.2.5, DVI display connected to first dvi port (closest to mainboard), and dvi2vga adapter sits on second dvi port, and no displays connected to it. When I installed radeonhd 1.2.5 (used fglrx previously), booted os and got resolution - 1152x864 (My display native resolution - 1680x1050). those resolutions was available for choose in gnome's resolution change app: 1152x864 1024x768 800x600 640x480 xrandr showed me this ... I'm using openSUSE 11.1. I'll attach two screenshots presenting the most common artifacts: 1. lines in background of folder view plasmoid's scrollbar 2. small gaps in tooltips displayed by task bar The reproducibility of those two problems is 100% but sometimes I can see some other problems as well.
