Summary: macbook: suspend/resume: colours messed up on external
monitor.
Product: xorg
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/radeonhd
AssignedTo: lverhaegen(a)suse.de
ReportedBy: lverhaegen(a)suse.de

This is not a duplicate of #13474, as this issue was fixed for everybody else
except the macbook. Apples do seem to be special.

Summary: Distortions on display
Product: xorg
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/radeonhd
AssignedTo: lverhaegen(a)suse.de
ReportedBy: stefan(a)ott.net
QAContact: xorg-team(a)lists.x.org
On a dual-monitor setup (both DVI), I get weird, fast moving distortions (looks
like green pixels running horizontally across my screen). This only seems to
happen when I have a dark window (eg. a terminal) with bright areas (eg. a blue
desktop background) visible on the left side of the window (the right side
doesn't matter). The bigger the visible non-dark area is, the more distortions
I get.
As mentioned above, this only happens on one of my screens (DVI-I_1/digital),
the other one (DVI-I_2/digital) works perfectly. I also power-cycled the
machine to make sure there are no fglrx leftovers.
I'm using a club3d x1950Pro on debian testing, btw.

Quit>Suspend on Ubuntu 7.10
Product: xorg
Version: 7.2
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/radeonhd
AssignedTo: lverhaegen(a)suse.de
ReportedBy: livrerie(a)hotmail.com
QAContact: xorg-team(a)lists.x.org
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 on an iMac Intel Core2 (white) with a radeon x1600.
Under Gnome 2.20, if I choose System>Quit>Suspend on the main menu bar, the
screen becomes dark, but turns itself on automatically after about 40 seconds.
Instead, it should turn itself on only after the user touches the keyboard or
mouse. This did not happen with the fglrx driver. I am using the last git
version available at the moment I write.

Summary: flickering mousecursor
Product: xorg
Version: git
Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/radeonhd
AssignedTo: lverhaegen(a)suse.de
ReportedBy: mail(a)sebastian-brocks.de
QAContact: xorg-team(a)lists.x.org
using randr, I get a flickering mousecursor in a few well-defined areas
of one of my screens.
There are 4 vertical "lines", about 20 pixes in width that go across the
screen from top to bottom. When I place the mouse cursor on top of these
"lines", I get a flickering mouse cursor.
The 4 lines are at about 235-255 pixels from the left edge of the
screen, at 490-510 pixels from the left edge, at at 940-960 pixels from
the left edge and at 1005-1025 pixels from the left edge.
On the other monitor, this does not happen.
The resolution the monitor on which it is happening is running is 1280x1024.
I'll attach a small video showing the flickering.

Software:
I'm using the system:

i686 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
Hardware:
on Toashiba Satellite A200-1ax laptop with Mobility Radeon HD 2600 on board.
I tested this using radeonhd-1.0.0 driver.
What happened:
When i try to start X, let's say `X -logverbose 7`, the screen panel turns off,
then on (as if mode setting) but the screen remains completly blank. It does
not crush nor hang, so i am able to shut it down with alt+ctrl+bckspace.

http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13415
Summary: machine locks after suspend/resume
Product: xorg
Version: git
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/radeonhd
AssignedTo: lverhaegen(a)suse.de
ReportedBy: mads(a)kiilerich.com
QAContact: xorg-team(a)lists.x.org
When I try to resume with radeonhd the machine locks up. The machine is so dead
that capslock toggling doesn't work - but the screen gets some kind of signal;
it wakes up but shows no signal.
Is this a known problem? Is it related to the graphics driver at all? Is it a
kernel bug? Is a hal quirk needed?
Running Fedora 8 with 2.6.23.1-49.fc8 on Dell Optiplex 745 with RV516 X1300 pro
and homebuilt driver from 20071123git f5ffe41a6c1ffa9418782b7059b075da06e7c496
Suspend/resume works fine with the motherboards intel graphic card.
