Performance enhancements in git?

Hi, I am currently profiling some of my stuff with different hw/drivers. Have there been a lot of EXA/XRender performance enhancements recently, so should it make a difference wether I use 1.2.1 or git? If possible I would like to avoid the burden of making my system ready for compilation, but if there have been major performance enhancements it would be worth it. Updated or New Xorg Drivers for the (MSI) Radeon Card

Good after noon Ladies & or Gents, Can you please tell me if the Xorg Drivers section are going to issue drivers for the Radeon 4870 Card for use in FreeBSD ver 7.0? And will this driver be a 64 bit drive or just a limited 32 bit version. Thanks in advance SEanS P.S Or who may have this information? I would most like to see XV and rotation support. At the moment the drm kernel module (from git) will not compile on my running kernel. So I assume I'll have to wait a bit longer before trying to get XV working. Is there anything I can do to try out or help with rotation? need to run xrandr after start of X

Hi, after each "startx" I need to run xrandr --output VGA_1 --mode 1280x1024 xrandr --output VGA_1 --right-of DVI-I_1/digital to get the correct screen setup. How do I get the correct setup into xorg.conf ? -- mit freundlichem Gruss -- regards Thomas

The freeze occured after the screen faded out, at or shortly after the the first few seconds of the hack running." What you are describing are most likely gnome problems. Neither X nor its drivers are responsible for what you see in the gnome panel. Also it's quite likely that some desktop helper turns off your DVI after login. The state of the DVI output resembles exactly what RandR knows about this output (as you have found out using xrandr). You will have to use a gnome utility to set up the state as you like it so that it gets set when you log in again.
