Sorry, may I ask whose seats are to be re-elected? I'm bit missing some timing on https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board and I'm bit confused. Might be simple table with years/election periods would help here...? -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/ Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux https://www.opensuse.org/

You make a good point, and I just brought https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board_history up-to-date (and created a check list for incoming board members that includes updating this going forward). Hope this helps, Gerald

Thanks for kicking this off! This year was pretty busy for you, lets keep finger crossed that this is the last election to run until the next regular election end of next year. Please be informed that I stand for re-election. Until a wiki page is set-up for the current election, information about myself can be found at the board page [1] and the introduction from last time [2]. I had something like that in mind. To be more specific I wanted to wait for the end of the nomination period on Sunday and then invite all candidates for some kind of moderated townhall meeting. There they could present themselves to the community and stand for questions. I'll contact all of you beginning of next week! vinz.

Yes, that's what I planned to use. (Bonus point for an eventual stress test, depending on how many people take part.) My idea is to have nothing too formal, just a few prepared questions. The focus should be on the community discussing tasks, work to do by the board etc. vinz.

For those of me in strange timezones would you be able to record it please? one of the benefits of when we last did it using IRC was that I was able to read it later. Shhh, that's something I haven't figured out yet. I'm gonna run some tests this weekend to see if and how I can set up OBS to record the stream. For timezones my idea was to go with Friday or Saturday so that people at least don't have job duties on their back. vinz.
I'm gonna run some tests this weekend to see if and how I can set up OBS to record the stream.
It is fairly straightforward, only catch is, if you want different stream and recording quality, you need to have the appropriate horsepower, there is one config menu for stream , one for recording... later on the main screen you just hit "start streaming" and "start recording" buttons and it will do both... I can help you thru screen-share if you run into issues, ping me directly if needed (UTC+1 timezone). -- Best regards / S pozdravem, BSc.
