I had something like that in mind. To be more specific I wanted to wait for the end of the nomination period on Sunday and then invite all candidates for some kind of moderated townhall meeting. There they could present themselves to the community and stand for questions. That is an excellent idea, especially as we have meet.o.o to support just that.
Yes, that's what I planned to use. (Bonus point for an eventual stress test, depending on how many people take part.)
My idea is to have nothing too formal, just a few prepared questions. The focus should be on the community discussing tasks, work to do by the board etc.
For those of me in strange timezones would you be able to record it please? one of the benefits of when we last did it using IRC was that I was able to read it later. (With candidates from a wide range of places you might also wind up with some interesting issues selecting a time. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B
