Hello mates,
Few days ago, Softpedia had a blogpost [1] regarding an e-mail from Tomas Cech at our factory mailing list [2]. Tomas and Simon continue to maintain Enlightenment for openSUSE (check their TODO list at our Portal [3]).
So we made a poll at connect to tell us you think about it. Here is the link:
Deadline is on July 25th, right after the openSUSE conference [4].
Thank you for your help. Have a lot of phun, Stathis

why not ask the _thousands_ of active users/contributors in the openSUSE forums? you can do that easily in the forum named/described as "Surveys/Polls - Share opinions about various topics" at http://tinyurl.com/3kmo5rp
or, someone also might want to start an advocacy for E17 in the forum named/described "Soapbox - Strong opinions about mostly anything (no political or religious content)" at http://tinyurl.com/6jkzt7u
or, maybe a mild discussion thread in "General Chit-Chat - A friendly place to converse about your adventures with openSUSE, your weekend, your boss, your new car, and generally stuff that doesn't fit somewhere else (and we must ask: PLEASE do not post help questions here)" here http://tinyurl.com/4s6u7sp
while all three of those are easily read and posted via nntp (see here: http://forums.opensuse.org/faq.php?faq=novfor#faq_nntp) i believe the polling software (to count results) must be set up via a browser, as does the poll introduced in this ML thread..
you might find loads of KDE, GNOME, LXDE, Xfce users/contributors in the forums are interested in E-17, or maybe almost none at all . . .

I clicked on the link and there was a message "Your vote has been cast for this poll. Thank you for voting on this poll." I didn't intend to vote, just look at the survey and form an opinion.
Can you tell me which way I voted?
Thanks David

"We're" learning more and more from the ways of MS :-) .

No, you/we are learning about people. m$ has no standing here except in *your* perception and the *implied* slam is certainly not necessary or fitting. There is no need to introduct more controversy.

No but I will shortly. Are you implying that it look as designed by m$ or are you really interested in another's opinion?

I don't know what you are missing (I would hate to speculate :-) ) but this what one gets when one does a *clean* install of 13.1 ML#1 in this household:
which is the screen, and to prove that it is 13.1:

So another background. I fail to see the implied m$ connection. Probably due to my current location, USA.
Hello friends,
Before the conference, we had a poll about E17 and option to install through DVD. The results can be found here: https://connect.opensuse.org/pg/polls/read/diamond_gr/43117/drop-lxde-in-fav...
Those are * I want E17 to be available through installer and on DVD (25) 53%
* I want to stay as it is. I like LXDE better (19) 40%
* None of the above. Let's add MATE or Cinnamon (3) 6%
Threre weren't enough votes (maybe because most of us don't use connect).
According to the tweet: https://twitter.com/openSUSE17/status/354189188977008640
#E17 should be now available as option in #openSUSE installer!
So I guess the poll had a result.
Have phun, Stathis
PS: Since I'm not registered to factory ML, if someone wants to forward it there, please do it.

Yes, you have not voted. The web page is broken or poorly constructed, not that I would have done better :^(. You need to log in in order to vote and this is *not* explained and not what first appearance leads one to believe.
Ping,
I remind you that next month we'll have openSUSE conference in Thessaloniki [4]. Tomas will have a presentation about E17. We want to see some results out of this poll. Please go to
and vote. Tell us your opinion.
