I got another e-mail today and it seems well this time. :-) By the way, I have some questions. Who have the vote for this election ? Who decided who have the vote ? As we know, community members are grouped into some categories. [1] Board [2] "Members" approved by the Board http://en.opensuse.org/Members [3] Registered users in 'User Directory' who support the Guiding Principles. [4] Registered users in 'User Directory' who haven't supported the Guiding Principles yet. [5] Persons who think (s)he is a member, want to be a member, ask if (s)he is a member, as mentioned in http://en.opensuse.org/Community [6] Everyone who uses openSUSE (*) (*) There's a statement "We consider our users to be part of our community" in Guiding Principles. This election is aimed to decide just the name for the 'spokesperson', and it's not so critical issue for our community, because I consider, "Who can be the 'spokesperson'?", "What are their tasks ?" ... are much more important than their name. However, IMHO, in case of organizing some elections for important things hereafter, we have to discuss who should have the vote.
