If they do, they can't put the "Windows 8 compatible" (or whatever) logo on the box. I'm afraid not many will risk that. It's the same with DVD/BD players: if a manufacturer allows its user (who is actually their customer and pays them for the product) to ignore those extremely annoying "skip of fast forward not allowed here" features, they don't get a certification and can't put a logo on their boxes. See for yourself how many manufacturers go this way...
