I agree. I don't think it attracts the attention. I prefer something which tells me _why_ openSUSE is good for me, even if it doesn't give me a complete description of the product, which is not the goal of a slogan anyway.
All the slogans:
openSUSE - Works out of the box openSUSE - Only the Best! openSUSE - Works for you
and so (I just cite some to be short) doesn't state facts about openSUSE but opinions. I think a slogan should reflect something real about openSUSE, like freedom, versatility, ease of use and so.
