It does matter.
The issue for me is not that much if it is above or below, top or bottom, but its size. The not trimming that is implied by top posting. The sending of 3 kilobytes of material with a 15 kilobyte quote.
And the problem is, if clients collapse that excess repeated material, that you are simply not aware of the problem.
I think we should look for a way if we can remove the quoted body of prior e-mails directly on the mail-server side TBH. Hey, have a look at Linus responses! ;-p I did go through some of my favorites today, it was a nice saturday morning full of laughter :-) I used to live in Finland and know "management by perkele" very well (I was working for Tieto, a rather large corporation of 15k employees but mostly located in Nordics), I love their style for genuity. You ask a cashier in a shop "how are you doing" and she points blank says "today is a crappy day, I did not sleep well", it's lovely...
