hi, the hikha@lpar.dori.com was just an example the real host name is node06.lrap.polymtl.ca i m sur that is registred in the DNS
so what? Your host, node06.lrap.polymtl.ca is not in DNS and host lrap.polymtl.ca is not in DNS. It is very possible that polymtl.ca does not expose its customers' host names. This is from my work host. gaf@sauron:~> host node06.lrap.polymtl.ca Host node06.lrap.polymtl.ca not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
This is from my home host using a comcast DNS.
gaf@gaf:~> host node06.lrap.polymtl.ca
node06.lrap.polymtl.ca has address 132.207.162.106
The bottom line is that the problem is still a DNS problem, not a sendmail
problem per se.
