I just installed openSUSE 10.2 on an Amilo M7425. Suspend2RAM works fine but Suspend2Disk / Hibernate don't works. The suspend-process stops and the last I see is:
Preparing hibernate... suspend: Snapshotting system
Does your machine resume immediately? This happens here on HP NX9420.
No, nothing happens after suspend: Snapshotting system
Any hints? Which logs are interesting for you?
Do you find in /var/log/messages something like ... Google provides some results for this errormessage. Until now I've spend no time to resolve the problem, I shutdown the system.
