Hello One of my users cant start realplayer anymore. If a link is pressed in konq. or he just try to run it from promt - the CPU load goes to 100% until the process is killed. No realplay window. Other users on the same machine have no problems. I guess some settings for realplay is messed up - how do I restore these without loosing the entire desktop -- Regards Klaus Vink Slott

I find 4 directories and 4 files in my /home directory that relate to real. /home/dh1/.realnetworks/ /home/dh1/Real/ /home/dh1/realcache/ /home/dh1/RealPlayer9/ /home/dh1/.RealNetworks_RealCookies_60 /home/dh1/.RealNetworks_RealMediaSDK_60 /home/dh1/.RealNetworks_RealPlayer_60 /home/dh1/.RealNetworks_RealShared_00 I'd try renaming these or moving them to a backup location and trying to run realplayer again. Good luck -- dh Don't shop at GoogleGear.com!

-----snip----------- I don't think those need to be removed, (you probably want to keep them). As far as I understand it those are links /icons/menu entries for the program. If you remove them then you will need to recreate the links if you don't want to run the program from the command line. the mimelink is used to automatically run realplayer if an appropriate file is selected. see ya -- dh Don't shop at GoogleGear.com!
