[opensuse-kde] A few package updates
Hi List In the past couple of days I've updated KDE 3 kile digikam KDE 4 qtcurve-kde4 kde4-digikam kde4-kipi-plugins in the buildservice. (KDE:KDE3 and KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop) Feel free to play with them! We're looking for people to help with this kind of leaf package update work. Let me know if you're interested - we could organise a packaging workshop day to teach the basics. Will - Just wondering if you plan to provide a package for projectM for SuSE11.0, 11.1 and beyond. The 10.x versions in your repositories won't work in the 11.x versions of SuSE and it would be nice to have it again... As for help with packaging it, sure if I knew how... I have (finally) managed to get the latest version of projectM, from their svn, to compile and installed on my system, but not working/integrated with Amarok and dunno what the problem is, nor am I getting any responses for my requests for help... And since I am NOT a guru of Linux I have no idea how to package anything so I would require training.... Marc... Will Stephenson wrote:

TBH I had mostly forgotten about libvisual - I joined a gym and stopped working out in the home office, so didn't need something to go with the tunes... The other reason I lost interest is that although you can display a projectM window from the Amarok Visualisations dialog, it doesn't seem to respond to the music. Anyway I've updated projectM and the libvisual plugin for it to 1.2.0 in my OBS home, and renamed a few packages there to comply with newer packaging conventions. libprojectM -> projectM libvisual-projectM -> projectM-libvisual Please let me know if there are any problems upgrading due to the renames - I've added Provides/Obsoletes pairs which /should/ cover it.

Is a packaging workshop on Sunday 5th April of interest to you? Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

With only a little prompting these packages are now in KDE:Community, where they will hopefully not languish 2 years between updates any longer. I've kept links to them in home:wstephenson to smooth updates.. Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

And here is a list of some packages which are not up-to-date to latest: ... kdbg 2.1 -> 2.1.1
Waiting for it to compile, will submitreq when tested.
kdesvn 1.0.4 -> 1.0.5 or 1.2.4 (KDE4 port)
Version 1.2.4 is available at KDE:KDE4:Community. It seems a decision must be taken here... we want kdesvn/kde4-kdesvn (are "kde4-" prefixes supposed to me removed at some point?) in the main distro or in an "extra" repo?
kdiff3 0.9.94 -> 0.9.95
0.9.95 is available in Factory since 2009-03-09.
kile 2.0.2 -> 2.0.3
Version 2.0.3 is available in Factory since 2009-03-18. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
