Hello list,
I'm running SuSE 8.1 with Nvidia GEForce 2 ultra (Nvidia drivers) and looking for some tips from experienced users who have a stable system. My system runs fine in the desktop, however when running games (racer, Wolfenstein) I continue to get lockups. I have AGP 4X enabled in the bios however, I have turned this setting off (2X) and it doesn't appear to help with stability. There are numerous settings for the driver in the README file I'm just looking for stability. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rodney
I could also be that the monitor needs to be fine tune as well. This will have a direct impact on the way the nvidia card and the 3D apps interact as well. Here is a snip of my XF86Config file.
