Dear Lee Thanks for your comments.
I've just tried "export QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt3" but I still get the same error message. I've got the latest version of qt3 (3.3.0) and I always run SuSEconfig after updating any software. I've tried a number of configure options but so far they make no difference however, I agree it is probably just a matter of hitting on the right one the question is: which one?. If qt3 is installed properly, which I think it is, then shouldn't configure be able to find it by default?
Any other ideas? Regards John

Also, a question comes to mind about how you installed KDE 3.2 stuff, where did you get your files and did you use --force to install anything? qt3-devel-doc-3.3.0-47 qt3-extensions-3.3.0-46 qt3-postgresql-3.3.0-46 qt3-man-3.3.0-46 qt3-devel-3.3.0-47 qt3-static-3.3.0-47 qt3-examples-3.3.0-46 qt3-3.3.0-47 qt3-mysql-3.3.0-46 qt3-unixODBC-3.3.0-46 qt3-non-mt-3.3.0-49 qt3-devel-tools-3.3.0-46 Regards, Lee -- --- KMail v1.6 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.0 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...
