[opensuse-factory] crap! npviewer.bin eating 58% of my CPU kde 4.2.96
Listmates, WTF is wrong with npviewer.bin? I have kmail, konqueror and konsole open and top shows this adobe npviewer.bin running constantly and eating 1/2 my cpu. This never happened with 4.2.90 or 4.2.95. What broke in 4.2.96? Do I just need to trash this buggy npviewer and uninstall it some how? What gives? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. No sooner to I kill npviewer.bin -- then nsplugin(whatever) starts eating 28% of my cpu -- I killed that to. How do I prevent these things from starting with kde4? They don't start with kde3. What's the trick? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. It's not KDE, it's your browser. Flash is getting hung up on your 64-bit system. I used to see this all the time back in, oh, 10.3, but it has gotten a lot better. You may be interested in trying the 64bit flash plugin: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html Just untar in ~/.mozilla/plugins (or wherever your browser looks) -- Evan McClain /* No Comment */ evan.mcclain@gatech.edu -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
