Re: [opensuse-factory] nvidia and kernel 4.14
Hello,
I got the same error too.
@Patrick: If you don't mind my asking, is that all you do when installing
the nvidia driver from the nvidia site? Nothing else?
"I am using NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-387.22.run from nvidia w/o a problem.
sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-387.22.run -aqs --install-libglvnd
but iiuc "--install-libglvnd" should no longer be necessary."
Thanks.

I have nvidia-gfxG04 from the nvidia repos and stuff... :)

no, the script, NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-387.22.run, will do it. I have nvidia on three boxes and use the script on all and have never specifically blacklisted noveau/nouveau. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
