systemd (248.3 -> 248.6)
==== systemd ==== Version update (248.3 -> 248.6) Subpackages: libsystemd0 libsystemd0-32bit libudev-devel libudev1 libudev1-32bit systemd-32bit systemd-container systemd-doc systemd-lang systemd-logger systemd-sysvinit udev
even udev is specified as subpackage of systemd it is not automatically selected when updating systemd.
as i know, that, when i update systemd, i also have to update udev, i always manually select also udev to be updated, but today i forgot this, and after reboot my system didn't work any more.
It would probably be harder to forget if TW was using packaging names the way of the mother of systemd: # inxi -S System: Host: g5eas Kernel: 5.11.16-1-default x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.21.5 Distro: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20210605 # rpm -qa | egrep 'udev|systemd' | sort libfido2-udev-1.7.0-1.2.noarch libgudev-1_0-0-234-1.5.x86_64 libmtp-udev-1.1.18-1.5.x86_64 libsystemd0-246.13-2.1.x86_64 libudev1-246.13-2.1.x86_64 python38-pyudev-0.22.0-3.5.noarch systemd-246.13-2.1.x86_64 systemd-default-settings-0.7-1.2.noarch systemd-default-settings-branding-openSUSE-0.7-1.2.noarch systemd-network-246.13-2.1.x86_64 systemd-presets-branding-openSUSE-12.2-17.3.noarch systemd-presets-common-SUSE-15-18.1.noarch systemd-sysvinit-246.13-2.1.x86_64 udev-246.13-2.1.x86_64 util-linux-systemd-2.36.2-1.18.x86_64 # 15 packages in minimalist(?) installation # uname -r 5.11.19-300.fc34.x86_64 # rpm -qa | egrep 'systemd|udev' | sort libgudev-236-1.fc34.x86_64 python3-systemd-234-16.fc34.x86_64 rpm-plugin-systemd-inhibit-4.16.1.3-1.fc34.x86_64 systemd-248.3-1.fc34.x86_64 systemd-bootchart-233-8.fc34.x86_64 systemd-libs-248.3-1.fc34.x86_64 systemd-networkd-248.3-1.fc34.x86_64 systemd-pam-248.3-1.fc34.x86_64 systemd-rpm-macros-248.3-1.fc34.noarch systemd-udev-248.3-1.fc34.x86_64 # 10 packages in minimalist installation -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science.
