It surely changes some ways that I have accustomed to, but change in itself is nothing bad, if there is a good reason.

So you are going to trust a feature that has just been introduced in a filesystem (not designed a priori for cow)? Or how long are you going to wait for it to become stable? ;-) I suggest using btrfs that has been in use and developement for quite some time. And yes, some of its code is not that old, and some of its feature are quite new and unstable. But we are talking filesystem and cow here, and that I believe is rock solid (while RAID5/6 etc. may be not and I am not using them and thus have no experience...). Johannes
