Hi guys,
I was installing openSUSE Leap 15.0 today to test some packages and I had a very unpleasant surprise. Back in the day when Weblate was introduced to translate openSUSE, I helped by doing a lot of work to translate things to Brazilian Portuguese. Usually, the Release Notes gives credit to the translators that have helped. The last time I checked, it was saying:
#. Put one translator per line, in the form of NAME <EMAIL>, YEAR1, YEAR2
#: xml/release-notes.xml:0(None)
msgid "translator-credits"
msgstr ""
"Luiz Fernando Ranghetti , 2007-2014\n"
"Ísis Binder , 2007-2014\n"
"Ronan Arraes Jardim Chagas , 2015-2016”
Now, it has:
#. Put one translator per line, in the form of NAME <EMAIL>, YEAR1, YEAR2
#: xml/release-notes.xml:0(None)
msgid "translator-credits"
msgstr ""
"Luiz Fernando Ranghetti , 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, "
"2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016”
Did I miss something? Why the contributors of the previous translators have been removed? Notice that there are still a lot of text in Leap (including the Release Note itself) that was translated either by me or Ísis Binder.
I will modify the translation in Weblate, but this should not happen.
Regards,
Ronan Arraes (Ronis_BR)--
