With 13.1RC1 it seems there is no signal (or not acceptable for the display) although the xserver starts and runs. I had to switch to the fbdev driver to get graphics back.
I have a G400 in one of my 13.1RC1+ systems. Works just fine @1792x1344 for such an old gfxchip with a 1.133GHz Piii CPU, but I configure xorg.conf to get it the way I like it.
