Advantage : Plymouth/grub2 will be able to use the default wallpaper then we earn some MB on liveCD etc ...
For example bootsplash and grub have to use certain kind of jpg and they will continue. But if on livecd we drop bootsplash for plymouth we can win ~6MB more
Your opinion ?
Maybe I'm not reading this right. But a number of users, myself included, didn't care for bootsplash and desktop wallpaper being the same in 12.1. It got a bit confusing not being sure if the system is done booting yet. I thought some of the caretakers here were conscious of that and were planning to avoid that confusion in 12.2. I get the benefits of freeing up disk space though. Bryen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
