As mentioned in many replies and other places, the DVD is handy for many reasons, one of which is installation of a full working system without the need for a net connection. A DVD can be d/l in any amount of time, but an installation via a slow net connection is pure frustration. So idea is to have the necessary information available on the DVD.
It doesn't need to be complex, in fact the main thing here would be to keep it as clear, concise, and to the point as possible. Present the information simply and neutrally.
