I'll revisit this one.

Since the original mail-thread got us no one stepping up wanting to take over the future maintenance of gst-010, I'll now file delete requests for these packages in Tumbleweed. Note that the packages could stay, but someone needs to take ownership of them.
From most the feed-back I got last, the impression I had was that not much should still rely on gst-010, so lets see how removal will work in a staging.

I know at least one package which very indirectly depends on gst 0.10 - kicad.
Although kicad does not depend on any multimedia stuff, it depends on wxPython, namely the wxGTK 2.7.something variant. Although wxGTK itself is split, wxPython is monolithic, i.e. wxPython pulls in *all* of wxGTK.
Slight error, kicad uses wxWidgets 3.0 now, but that still depends on gstreamer 0.10: https://build.opensuse.org/package/binary/openSUSE:Factory/wxWidgets-3_0? arch=x86_64&filename=libwx_gtk2u_media- suse1-3.0.2-6.3.x86_64.rpm&repository=standard Now, there seems to be a patch for GStreamer 1.0 support in the WX bugtracker: http://trac.wxwidgets.org/ticket/14976#comment:22 Have not tried ...
