But the Rescue image has a very nice selection of tools for those jobs that require being done from "outside" the installation. Be it repair, partition change, backup image creation... I can have my own scripts on the usb stick, even install a few extra packages. It is a wonderful tool.
There are plenty of dedicated rescue images. What justifies additional efforts spent on creating yet another one?
