One of the french forum user posted recently a script of interest: http://forums.opensuse.org/other-languages/francais-french/aide-et-support/p... even if it's in french, the script is international langage The goal of this script is to recompile the necessary proprietary modules after a kernel update. I don't know if the script is well done, I have no knowledge of this kind, but it looks very interesting. In fact one of the most often asked question on forums is "why do my virtual box, nvidia card, ati card" don't work anymore this author seems not wanting to follow factory or OBS.
